I have had the privilege and good fortune to be a part of many individuals’ journey in counseling for over 30 years. In my work with adults, I specialize in the areas of depression, anxiety, grief/loss, relationship concerns, adjustment issues, trauma and anger. For the past 25 years I have facilitated groups for individuals arrested for domestic violence. In my work with children, I specialize in ADD/ADHD, behavioral and academic concerns, family/sibling relations, fetal alcohol (FASD), trauma and cognitive delays.
I have experienced and adjusted to a significant hearing loss. Several years ago I applied for and received a service dog, Nigel. Nigel has become an important part of my work. He not only assists me because of my hearing loss but has also become a part of my work clients. Nigel assists me with helping client to relax and feel safe with addressing symptoms and areas of concern.
