Theresa Shuck
Certified Genetic Counselor
Licensed Professional Counselor
“My goal is not to solve your problems for you, but to skillfully guide and support you in making your own changes.”
With more than two decades of experience working with families affected by medical conditions I have had the privilege of assisting individuals in coping with adverse diagnoses including cancer, birth defects, hereditary disorders and chronic illness. I have expertise working with families affected by infertility, pregnancy, miscarriage, infant loss and the death of a loved one. The scope of my practice also includes depression, anxiety, relationship issues, maladaptive coping, loss, and life transitions.
As your counselor I will give you guidance and support to help you resolve issues and cope with the challenges in your life. I will work with you in a non-judgmental and honest approach to therapy in a supportive and safe environment. I will assist you in tapping into your strengths and using them to reach a more peaceful place in your life. If challenges are impacting your daily living, you deserve to have some help navigating your way to solutions.
